Chrysler town and country 2004 P0303
 

I have a 2004 Chrysler town and country (3.3) with 160,000 miles. I got a p0303 code- misfire on number three cylinder. I replaced the plugs, wires, and #3 fuel injector. I also took a multi meter across the coil pack plug wire leads and they seemed consistant in ohms. I also did a compression check with a cheap (harbor freight) comp tester. One time they seemed all about 160 lbs and another time the number three seemed low (100ish). Not sure if the cheap tester was the issue or if the cylinder reads different at different times? Any other thoughts??

Will u fell it miss all the time or just some times?

Thank you, forgot to mention, you only feel a slight miss when at a stop and in gear (as at a traffic light). In park at idle you can just barely feel it and at speed you can't feel it at all.

Any good way to check the coil pack? Thanks

not really unless u have a scope that u can see the issue when u are driving and or a scanner that will show u the misfire while it is happening when driving.

I saw online that someone tested a coil pack by taken a multi meter and read the ohms reading across each set of terminals and see if the have simular read outs. Does this tell you anything about the condition of the coil pack? Thanks

yeah at that currant time but its not possible to do that when its running

Don't know why I haven't tried it before, but I put a spark test light on the #3 wire between the coil pack and the wire. When in drive I get a miss about every 3 or 4 seconds. Put it on another wire and no miss! So it must be the coil pack right? Or could it still be the cam sensor? Thanks for all your help with this.

a cam sensor does not give a signal to one cyl its for all of them
