Chrysler town and country 3.6 broken steering column due to theft

I was out with a pack of flying monkeys Saturday night. While I was off flying over OZ. Someone who probably let has weak parental influences tried to steal my car.

I need to rebuild the wiring around around my ignition column. Perfectly willing to buy parts but what I really need is a wiring diagram from the manual.

Key does move cylinder forward but it throws security alert.

Could you go to a scrap yard and find one of the same year/model/engine and remove the wiring loom from that car or use it to compare to yours?

Failing that I would possibly drop Mopar an email and ask them if they have a wiring diagram

I reckon your biggest problem will the electronic key-code system rather than the mechanical damage. My best advice (and I can't believe I'm saying this) would be to see a specialist in this field. You'll have to cough up obviously, but he will save aggravation and time. Your thief is obviously dim-witted or very old, because it's well-nigh impossible to steal a vehicle that way nowadays. It makes more sense to steal the keys, and all sorts of ways of doing this have been tried involving fishing rods thru a letterbox.
Leedsman.
