Chrysler Voyager - automatic gearbox problems.

I'm considering to buy a 2.4 SE petrol Voyager about 2000-2002 (cca 100.000 km).

I know from my friend, that the engine is very god build and it can go above 300.000 km.

But I can't get any information how is it with the automatic gearbox. Are there any known problems. Can they go to 300.000?

Thank's for the answer!

First of all, control tranny oil often!!! Check color and smell, the tranny oil shall be red and smell trannyoil (!), not burn oil. The oil in auto trannys is there for momentum too, not only for cooling and greasing the gears, so measure the level often and NEVER run the tranny dry! I change tranny filter on my cars every fifth time I changes motor oil AND filter, but this can be rather heavy (taking the pan down and all), so my advice is to ask the chrysler dealer about this. But be adviced, sometimes (if not allways) the dealers SAY that the tranny oil is ever lasting, but it isn't... It is very vice to change that from time to time, just like you changes motor oil on your car....

But the oil shall be red and NO burnt smell! :)
