Offered one for free? Take it man!!! If you want it be sure get a pre-inspection done. A 13 year old car could have ANY problem you can think of. However, the 3.3L has been a very good engine for many, many years. On the other hand look forward to replacing the transmission every 2-3 years

This motor in petrol form is thirsty. If you do your fuel consumption test in the brim-brim vs. miles covered (never believe the computerized readout) urban will be 12 to 16mpgUK, motorway/highway will be 20-22. The diesel 2.8ltr. CRD. is much better at around 25 to 30. If you can find an LPG converted petrol motor, which are popular in UK because the LPG is half the petrol costs, it is again less costly. As a comparison, petrol Range Rovers do 9mpgUK in London. (Source, Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear).

Well, not likely but it could happen. There are plenty of 3rd and 4th gen Chrysler minivans running around with original trannys in them. My 17 year old 96 still works as advertised except for a leak. |
