code p0456 found on my chrysler town and country touring 2005
 

Hi,
First sorry for my poor English. As mentioned I have got Chrysler Town & Country Touring 2005 3.8. A few days ago when I started engine a code P 0456 came up on the display panel. I googled this and I got a number description of this error code which could potentally coused this problem. Can you please advise what should I check, how to fix it.

Also I am looking for a software which allows me to diagnose the car, I must say that I am not a mechanic but I think that I will be able to fix some problem like for instance changing the crasched pipe or something... but I can do that only in case if I found the software which shows me on the monitor where exactly the problem is located by showing it on the picture

Any help with this matter will be really aprecciated!!

P0456 diagnostic code fix
 

I had the same code come up on my 2001. I found a cracked hose on the exhaust gas recirculation system. The broken hose was located beneath the air cleaner airbox. Remove the aircleaner, then the aircleaner box. There is only one screw holding the plastic box. search under the box for the tubing and hoses that are part of the EGR system. The cracked hose was on a short (about 2" long, i.e. 40mm) of 5/16" rubber hose connecting two lengths of metal tubing. I replaced the cracked hose, cleared the code and the problem is fixed.
