coolant pipework
My grand voyager 2.8 crd ( 2006) has suffered catastrophic corrosion to the coolant pipes. It's in the garage at the moment but they can't seem to get spares. This seems like the sort of place where some highly knowledgeable soul could point me in the direction of either a supplier or possibly even someone who could make some up for me? I'm in Leeds UK if that makes any difference. But any uk option would be great.

These are the knackered piped.

Perhaps a plumber to make them up? I've no idea how they connect into the system though.
Are those for the aux heater? Shorter term, could they isolate it and block them and the fuel supply off? |
It's for the main cooling system. The expansion tank emptied out through the leak. The pipes are steel not copper which is why I've not considered a plumber. But it might be worth a try...

I'm under the impression the aux heater is plumbed into the main cooling system. I'm sure I've read of people bypassing it before.
The plumber was more for his pipe bending skills/equipment. I'd think you could get a length of steel pipe if that was prefered. |
I had to replace the EGR pipe on my 2.8 GV a few months ago. The only supplier I managed to find was:
Oldham Motors Fiat & Jeep Huddersfield Rd, Bottom Of The Moor, Huddersfield, Oldham OL1 3HQ Phone:0844 248 8438 |

It's just a roll of pipe - flaring + bending tool lads, most old hands will have a set. Getting the compounded bends right is the trick.

Water Pipes From Auxilary Heater Leaking..where Can I Buy? - Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007) - Chrysler Forum UK
Post number 3, Bignev got them. £165. Looked at mines, think they'll be getting a little bit TLC sooner rather than later. |
