Dealer changed the oil and now the oil light comes on.

I took my t & c to Chrysler for an oil change (had a coupon or would of done it myself). When I picked it up the service writer said "we got the oil changed and filled it up with 5w-20". I said I tow with the van and asked if that's going to be heavy enough when it's 100* and the campers in tow and she assured me it was fine.

The next day we took the van on a 200 mile trip. On the way back, I got off the exit and when I stopped for the red light on the on-ramp I heard a chime and thought I was out of gas. It wasn't gas, it was the oil light. I listed to hear if the engine was pinging but it sounded normal. I check the oil and it was full as well. When the rpm's come up from idle the light goes off. To me it seems like the oil is so thin when it's hot that it's tripping the oil light.

I called the dealer today and they said I need a new oil pressure switch. Has anyone run into this? Personally, I'd rather run 5w-30 in it like I've been doing since I bought it.

Any feedback is appreciated.

possible the oil pressure switch is leaking internally

The book calls for 5W30 OR 10W30. I am running 5/30 in my 2003. I second the OP switch.
