Engine Electrical Problem
2002 Voyager, 3.3 MFI ,182k miles : Car started stalling ( luckily close to home ), got codes p0123, p0118, and p1193. All indicate a high input, so I suspected a wiring harness issue. I started with the MAP sensor wiring (since Chilton's manual showed a common ground). Got to the fuel injector harness connector, and all the insulation just fell apart. Most of the insulation just fell off all the wires for the first 5 inches or so. Saw that this is a common problem, and I replaced the harness. Figured for sure the problem was fixed, but nope, same problems continued. While doing more troubleshooting, and unplugging more connectors with both key on 'run' , and 'off', I found there was still a supply voltage at MAP sensor with both PCM connectors unplugged! According to the wiring diagram, this should not be happening since the +5V for the sensors comes from the PCM. More troubleshooting, and I discover that the voltage is coming from the IPM ( the plug with the yellow base). Even more perplexing is that 5V stays for exactly 10 minutes AFTER the key is turned off , and then goes to 0V. Anyone ever encounter this before? Also any good online links for the exact wiring diagram for this model? I figure it's probably still a harness issue, but would appreciate any pointers before starting to pull the whole harness apart. Thanks in advance to all!
