Error Code and Sputtering Issue
 

I've got a 2005 Chrysler T&C Limited that's recently been sputtering/hesitating at idle and more recently has been noticeable at 1,500-2,000 RPM (the whole car jerks ever so slightly). So I just hooked up a code reader and got P0032 out of it. After doing a bit of Googling it looks like a faulty O2 sensor. Is this accurate and if so, do I just replace it or is there something else that could be causing it?

What is the mileage. Yes the upstream O2 sending wrong info can cause a small running issue...especially under a load.

Whoops! Sorry to skip that detail. It's got a little over 108,000 miles on it. Under heavy acceleration it isn't noticeable. Revving to its redline seems fine too. Mainly idle and engine speeds below 2,000 RPM is when it's noticeable.

Is there a way to confirm whether or not it is the O2 sensor?

I doubt u will be able to test this yourself with out a scanner that can turn on the heater for the o2 and watch to see if the voltage drops on it while it is heating up.

Right, I don't have a scanner with that capability. BTW, what scanner would you recommend that has that feature? So should I just go ahead with ordering an upstream O2 sensor and replace it or have a shop verify it?

Fixed it!
 

After installing a new oxygen sensor and the error code wiped, everything seemed fine except for the sputtering/hesitating problem. Drove it to our trusted mechanic, he defined it as misfiring and recommended that I replace the spark plugs and wires with the OEM versions... I did just that and now it purrs!

So the original problem was actually non-related 2 problems.
