Front Struts

Hello everyone, one the way back home from the trip of ours the front struts started to get weak, noticed the right had a small leak. Looking through rockauto.com I see there are a few economy struts, does anyone know if anyone of them would be worth a shot to try? How much different in ride would one notice from the original ride ones in their online catalog? Thanks for any replies to this.

Don't think you've much chance in getting answer to Economy Struts, its like saying how does the Chinese Volvo Compare to the Swedish Volvo. What I can say is for economy go secondhand. You may find a recently renewed set on an MOT failure scrapper. But yet again your USA...

I changed mine to KYB and new springs! I would go for Borg shocks if I had my time again! 3 year warranty instead of 2 for KYB. No different in car ride after fitting from original set up. Avoid the ones that are made in China ect!

Can you get Borg ones in USA Hodges or KYB...Is it a different kettle of fish over there.

Not sure tbh. Would have thought so. I also changed both top mounts and bearings all at the same time. Sachs is a part of Borg! So great gas shocks.

KYB, yes they can be seen/bought over here, for the Borg, I don't see them.

Yes Sachs are available, the most expensive at 171 each minus S&H. I think I am going to go with the ones from Monroe.
