Front suspension 2004 Grand Voyager

Hi Guys

need a little advise here just changed the front struts on my Grand Voyager as there was a serious rattle from the drivers side.

Which was what I call the Top Hat (corrosion) I therefore replaced both top Hats bearing and struts, however now my steering feels a little sluggish/heavy especially when straightening up from a corner.

it is booked in for tracking but this does not feel like a tracking problem...!

My question therefore is can you tighten the top bolt too tight? or is it a case of the tighter the better....!

Not sure about your model, but there is adjustment, it is a sliding nut on the bottom strut clevis bracket.

List of UK parts, top cups etc and schematics + prices

Many Thanks for the reply QinteQ
"there is adjustment, it is a sliding nut on the bottom strut clevis bracket".

can you explain in English please lol

I did not see any adjustment screw at the bottom.

The pictures in the link are exactly the same as mine and obviously I can remove the plastic Cowell/Wiper cover to get access to the top nut with out taking the struts off.

But will slacking the nut off help as the tension is also applied by the spring on the top hat

I've a 2.8 as you can see from my sig line and mine also does not have the sliding nut on the big bottom clevis bracket. Some/many people have used Front Camber Bolts Chrysler Voyager - I've never used them I imagine they are an absolute pig to get right.

There are many different types / brands / prices.
