Grand Voyager CRD Stalling problems
Hi,
I own a 2001 Grand Voyager 2.5 CRD limited and have an occasional stalling problem. It happens when the car has been sitting in traffic for a while or even just at traffic lights. The temp gauge reads approx half way or just over but not excessively hot. When i try to pull away or try and rev it misfires and just dies. it wont immediately start unless i quickly set and unlock the alarm system with the remote control - - or is this just a coincidence ?? I also cant seem to hear the cooling fans kick in at all. I have checked the fuses but seem ok. Any help gratefully accepted Regards Dave |
Hi Dave
sounds like a fuel pressure problem suggest you follow this post https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...highlight=1130 |
Thanks Merlin,
I will look into this and advise back. The car does not have a problem at all starting hot or cold or general running, just when been sitting running for a while. I had a problem with fuel delivery about a year ago when running at some speed the car (on the London M25) suddenly died but restarted again after a short while and put it down to fuel delivery. Replaced very black clogged up filter underneath by tank and seemed ok since. I will look a that again too. Kind regards dave |
Stalling
When I had stalling problems with my 96 it was the EGR valve. It had the same symptoms as you are having.
