Here 2017 Map Update Failure - Out $300
 

Back in July I purchased the 2017 map and software update advertised on the FCA owners group website for $150. I received the 2-disc set containing a software update that must run first, and the map update. I installed the uConnect update without issue. However, the map update kept giving me a disc error after 2-5 minutes of installation. Here.com customer service said the disc was on back order and I had to wait a month and then call back; that I did in August. They promptly shipped another set of discs. But I received two uConnect software update discs instead of a map update. I called them again, and they shipped another set of discs. However the installation had the same disc error.

Contacted Here and they said they will refund my money. But I now had a radio with no maps. That, they said, they can do nothing about. That I should call Chrysler. I contacted a local dealer and they said it would cost 1 hour of labor - $150. I called FCA and they were kinda enough to tell me that they outsourced to Here and not responsible. That I should have the dealer fix the radio, and pay the costs of fixing it. “Have a nice day” she said.

Has anyone tried running this 2017 uConnect and Map update, and encountered this issue? It has been very infuriating. I even tried pulling the image files off the disc and burning my own, but got the same error.
