Default door wiring question

2010 Town and Country Touring. The door lock buttons weren't working on the driver's door panel so I pulled the switch assembly out. I see that I can't pull the switch apart to try to clean the switch and I also saw a 2-prong, female plug unattached behind the door panel. It had a purple wire and a purple and wht or purple and pink wire. I don't see where it would attach and I don't see these 2 wires mentioned together in the wiring schematic.
All door ajar sensors are operating and door safety lights are working. Any ideas?

Could be a bad switch. if you can figure out which wire is positive, and which the locks / unlocks the door, you could jumper them and see if the lock works
If that works, then it is definitely a bad switch.

I had the same issue with one of my dads Cadillacs from hell, a Cadillac Cimarron, the eighth worst car ever built.
A car so bad, it almost put Cadillac out of business.

It's odd because with the switch panel operating all 4 windows, the mirrors and the door locks there are only 3 wires going to it in a single plug. How can only 3 wires operate all that? When I found the 2 purple wires with a plug laying in the door panel I thought for sure it was for this switch panel but it's not.

Actually, thinking about it, the two different vehicles are very different.
With yours, the computer controls pretty much everything, so what I said before, will not work with yours.

Try disconnecting the battery for about ten minutes and give the switch another try.
