how do i remove the connector

hi ive got a 2006 town and country with the 3.3l engine. it has the dual cooling fan and one of the fans has gone to the dark side and pretty much froze up i also think it cause the fuse to blow. ive order a new fan assembly and found some you tube vids to help replace it however i cant seem to figure out the electrical plugs i slide the lock piece to open however i cant seem to get the plug to unplug ive taking a look at a couple others in the car that are easier to get at and i run into the same issue im not sure if the plugs should just come right off with the lock opened or if there is something else to be done to get them off????

thanks for any insight!!

Hi like other cars the plugs are held in with little catches that just need pressing with a small screwdriver. Try sliding your driver up inside the plastic lock. There's usually two ways...

+Beneath the lock is a tab that must be depressed. If all else fails, use a small screwdriver or pick tool, and go in from the opposite side to release the tab.

They can be a bear, and a squirt of penetrating oil wont hurt anything, but may make it a bit easier.
