Hubcap melted

'99 T&C. What could cause the front passenger side hubcap to melt (besides having cheap plastic Walmart hubcaps)? My blower only runs on high (control module is on order) so is the blower motor close enough to that wheel that it burning up might generate enough heat to melt the hubcap? I didn't see any smoke anywhere like I did when the rear blower motor burned up.

More than likely you have a BRAKE CALIPER "hanging up", not releasing pad pressure to the rotor, generating excessive heat. Interior or radiator fans would not even come close to doing what you describe.

Thanks for the response. I was just taking a shot in the dark since it happened as soon as I started using the AC (I never use the blower for the heater).

LUCKY YOU! Seems my HEAT and INTERIOR FANS are in use heavily thru at least 6 months of the year here near Buffalo,NY! A/C is only used when 88*+(which is RARELY)
