Immobiliser Light

Hi all,

The immobiliser light on my 1999 Grand Voyager stays on constantly, although the car starts and runs fine.
I thought I read something somewhere about a wire on the heater panel plug burning out. I looked at mine today and the only plug that looks a bit dodgy is the one that controls the rear heater controls, surely that's not the one that affects the immobiliser.

Can someone let me know where I should be looking to rectify my immobiliser LED fault.

Thanks
Mike

Hi
It's the 21 pin plug that melts at pin 21 the black earth wire. But most likely with yours the alarm module has lost it's VIN and needs to be reset at the dealer. But you could try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes. (make sure you have the radio code)

Thanks, I'll give the battery disconnection a try over the weekend and let you know how it goes.

Thanks
Mike

Just disconnected the battery for half an hour and then reconnected it...no difference.

I may just live with it as I don't want to take it to the dealer!!!

Thanks anyway
Mike
