Lifetime Warranty

I purcheased a used 2010 T&C with 12,000 miles.
I absolutely love this van, I use it for my painting and wallpapering business.
When I made the purchase I was informed that there was a life time "full wrap" warranty available for $2695.00...........seems high until you consider all the electrical...2 sliding doors, lift gate 4 power windows, etc.
I have since been told by the dealership that since I now have 18,000 miles on the van that the warranty will be more.
2 questions...........1...is the $2695.00 figure in line?
2.........has anyone experienced the additional mileage equals more $$?
TIA
Mrs. B.

Mrs B, haggle with them on the price. There IS markup in those service contracts. Don't let them BS you. If they want to be assses, go to another Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealer and get one. But remember as with all "Insurance Policies" which is what this really is technically...it's a gamble. You may use it alot or you may never have to use it......

I went to the Chrysler Service Contract website, the price quoted was $2295.00,
I sent this info to the dealer and was able to negociate to $2450. and recieve 4 free oil changes. I elected to buy from the dealer for the additional money because of their excellant customer service and to be able to have human contact. I am happy and I have the piece of mind that if anything goes wrong with my van no matter the miles it will be covered.

Well, the advantage of a factory service contract VS aftermarket is that there are no delays in getting your car fixed by waiting for inspectors AND the fact that their number one priority is finding a way to deny the claim. With factory...If it's a covered item under the contract...they fix it period.

Just make sure you follow maintenance schedules to the mile. If you're supposed to have something done at 60k miles and you wait till 61k, it could void your entire warranty for everything.

Thank you for that info....I had not thought about that. I better read the fine print.
Thanks!
