Loud squeak when turning
Very audible even when driving:mad:

I'd suggest using a spray lithium grease and spray it on anything in there that's rubber, making sure you don't hit the brake pads or discs, and see how that goes.

Thanks. Its only the left front wheel that does it |
Listened to your video but can only hear a clonk at full turn either way. Can you get your hand up underneath onto the top strut mount and check for vibes when turning. Or open bonnet and with hand on top strut mount check for feeling of roughness...

Well they must have removed the complete strut with spring on it to replace the shock. But the thing is does bearing at top come out as well and is it serviced in process. If you did it or any DIY person, they would check it out if knowing about it. But a garage No...
This is a turning thing and the only things that turn are the strut top mounts, the bottom ball joint and the track rod end joint. Drive shaft and hub bearings turn all the time. Its a case of getting area to squeak while stationary and loaded. Try placing a clean smooth steel or ally plate below each front tyre and turn steering wheel. Find noise by feel or stethoscope. Hope we get answer to this.. |
Here's a check for you. Watch on you tube, "Strange noise a bad upper strut mount can make". The jerking that you see is the spring slipping in the spring seat instead of the top bearing turning. Top bearing is obviously seized. So copy the action on your car.

Hi Goggs no noise from top of strutt. So all things pointing towards track rod end
