MAF sensor

hi guys can someone help me out here please , 2 questions 1, does the MAF communicate with the ECU so if it faulty the ECU will know , and 2 does any one have a diagram of the wiring plug and info on the voltage at each wire

The MAF is connected to the ECU.

Fault finding and connector info can be found here

cheers for this budy , I found a diagram for the MAF but where does it say the voltage output mate I cant seem to find it

+5V supply from the ECU.

I think the "no MAF available" may be a problem with the scan tool. If there is no reading from the MAF then an error code would be logged. Was he trying to look at the live data?

yes mate he had a little machine hooked up with the engine running
