MY05 console led replacment.

Hi guys, I have search in the forum but I have not found about this console led replcement for a 2005 MY.

Does someone knows the correct led type for the replacement?
Is the led for the buttons light in the upper console.

Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

Believe it or not, that IS NOT an LED, it's a regular tungsten bulb with a blue rubber cover over it! I've replaced quite a few of these now and i do replace them with LED.
The main problem/difference is that an LED doesn't diffuse light in the same way, it's a lot more targeted, so you either need an LED with very wide beam or replace with a regular panel bulb.

Search ebay for rectangular LED and you should fine what I've used in the past:

Hopefully that'll help.
Oh and a word of caution, the boards and circuit traces are VERY fragile, I've had to re-make a lot of them with replacement wires because as soon as the soldering iron touches them to remove the old bulb the traces peel off the board and fail.
