New to the USA - questions about mechanics

Hello,

I have relocated to your fine country for two years.
I have bought a T&C 2006.
My front A/C blower has stopped working.
I have seen several posts here but I am not a handy-man.

I need help understanding who should I refer to.

1. Are there non dealership mechanics that specialize in Chrysler, or if I don't want to go to the dealership there are only general mechanics that might not be familiar with the specific model.

2. Are the dealerships significantly more expensive ?

3. Am I supposed to go to a special AC mechanic or any mechanic would do.

Thank you !!!!

Welcome to the USA The beauty here is U get to pick and choose any one U want to use. Its your van your money and your call. There might be some one in your area that works on Chrysler stuff only We have one here in Atlanta ME
Do a online search and what ever else u want to do its all up to u on what U want to do.

Thank you, but how do I find one

Thank you very much for your reply.

I googled "houston+chrysler+mechanic" and what I get is either dealerships or general mechanics.

That was the reason for my question whether there is a way to find a garage that specializes in chrysler cars but is not a dealership (with the hope that it would be cheaper).

Alternatively, I am not sure the dealerships are substantially more expensive than general mechanics - hence my second question.

Thank you for you help. Could you assist some more ?

Thank you - and about the blower

Thank you CryslerTech !!!

As for the blower problem, my mechanic said that it is usually due to the fact that the blower requires too much current and then the resistor burns.
He suggested to replace both the blower and the resistor.
Does that make sense and how much should it cost ?

E

yes it does cost is relevant to where u get parts and who put them in
