No reverse lights

I was unable to find what I am looking for pertaining to this issue. I have no reverse lights when my 01 Voyager is in reverse. Is there a fuse specifically for the reverse lights? My tail lights and signals are working fine. Bulbs are all good. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thank you in advance. :)

auto or manual box? petrol or diesel?. Most likely it will be the switch on the gearbox, but locating and testing it depends on what you have.

No Reverse Lights.

Grande Voyager LTD 2003 CRD... Hi, I've got same problem as you if you have a manual box, but its possibly not a fuse issue.
Try waggling gear lever as you put it into reverse and if like my car they sometimes illuminate, it is the switch that is at fault.
I have been told by Garage after its MOT it needs a new switch. But is switch screwed into box and needs to be adjusted in position to make rear lights work. Or other.
Has anyone on here done this job....

Euro spec van? If they are like US spec and you have the automatic "gearbox" it uses a Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) as the switch to turn on the reverse lights. It's inside the transmission above the valve body and has an external connector on the right side front of the transmission that can get corroded and screw up the works. If you don't have the 41te transmission then disregard this.

Hi Raptor have you any idea what the manual box has...Does it need adjusted/screwed onto linkage inside box till lights work or is it just a switch on outside linkage.
Thanks.

Again if the specs match, manual gear boxes have the tried and true Park/Neutral Safety Switch. It's mounted externally on the right front of the transmission. That said, the little guy on my shoulder is telling me Euro diesel vans use different "gear boxes" than we have in the US so I may just be muddying the waters.

I haven't got the info for an 01, but on a 02 the reversing lights are controlled from the BCM (body control model). The BCM gets a data message from the gearbox ECU which tells it what gear it is in, when it's in reverse the BCM lights the reversing light.

My reverse lights work if I waggle the gear leaver I notice.
Looks like issue for finding this switch, taking a picture of it, reviewing wiring colours and placing it on here for future reference.
Will try this week if weather hold out...As well as Towbar fit as its overdue.
