Non Starting voyager

I have a 1997 Grand Voyager 3.3 V6 The car will not start, the problem is that the car starts runs for about 10 secs then cuts out. The heads up display shows the the alarm is set, have replaced the alarm module, had both the ECU and The BCU checkedok bothwere found to be working correctly. I have now run out of ideas can anyone help? Yes i could take it to a dealer but can not afford it.

We had a similar problem with our GV. The recovery guy said it was the immobiliser. The main agent pulled the codes @ £87/hour! and discovered that one of the multiplugs on the rear of the fake plastic wood centre consol panel had shorted and burnt out - apparently they have seen quite a few do this!

Repair solution - purchase a new real plastic wood panel for £300!

It was only picked up by the dealer pulling the codes...

Sorry

we had problems like that in earlier years with the car thinking it had a alarm system when in fact it didn't. had to replace the sbec that was the only fix,not sure if your pcm has alarmed itself.do you have a transponder type key?i don't think they made them back then.moe

hey brother, look in here its called the pdc.check fuse in cavity 10.see if its blown.you should check them all.it its not blown try going outside the car and using the door key locking and then unlocking the door theres a switch in the door that might be acting funny.see if it will start.another thing do the lights flash when the alarm light is on the dash?https://w05.dealerconnect.chrysler.c...S/80004233.gif
