However noticed when I renewed the starter, second hand for £30, the coil connection was not a spade but a stud & nut. Better securement of course.

Voyager RG CRD's got 2 diffrent starters connectors notis the same when I change the coil and got the wrong one :( but can easy be change with a pcs of wire and cabel lug. "spade or a connector plug"

The glowpluges was dead and the battery was poor preformance ,"this was why the coil was melted" Change it to a optima red top year 2011, glowplugs are still dead wire was short to servo oil bottle bracket and didn't had the time to change them & the wire fuse, Engine is a little fare away when -15 deg.C but the battery is very strong and never had to recharge it.

I continue to occasionally have this 'click' 'no turn over' problem. A computer controls the system and the computer has inputs that must be satisfied before it asks the starter to turn over the engine. Recently doing this solves the problem: turn the fob to "on"; put my foot on the brake; move the gear shift to "D" and back to "P" and turn the fob to "Start" . Hopefully it continues to work. This is something to try if you have this problem but obviously there are not guarantees.
