PCM problem?

My 2001 t&C has been misfiring/running rough. I took it to the dealer and they said that they isolated the problem to the PCM causing a problem with the #6 injector driver. I sent my PCM to Fla and they said it was fine. They sent it back but the dealer says they're getting the same error code. I sent it back to Fla again and they believe the problem is with the injector harness. The dealer does not believe this is true. They say that if they load test the injector from the PCM it does work.
Basically I feel like I'm left with believing the dealer and buying a new PCM ($1000) or believing the guy in Fla and replacing the wiring harness ($600.) Any thoughts on a better option?

take it to some one else and see if they get the same solution

Thanks for the advice. That certainly seems most logical.

I went to pick up the van the other day and planned to drive it to another mechanic, but since I've reinstalled the PCM from the group in Fla. (who said they didn't do anything different) I haven't seen my check engine light come on, and I haven't had any problems with the engine?! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed at this point.

How many different people do you usually hire to work on your car at the same time? wow. Many times the harness being melted takes out the PCM driver too. Seen it quite a few times. Sometimes i've seen them come back a couple weeks after the wiring fix with a dead driver.

Happened to me. I read the codes, took it to the dealer. Figuring they have the fancy scanner equipment.

The code returned one week later, after they supposedly fixed it.(P0303)
Bought a PCM, did not fix the problem.
Read about the harness issue, took the plenum off, redid the harness. Fixed the mess the dealer did to the other wiring.
Then took it to a mechanic I trust and he checked my work, verified the new PCM went bad due to the fried harness and put in another one for me. Car has been running great for months.

The dealer missed the fried 10 pin connector on the harness (exposed copper),
and butchered the harness going to the PCM. (ran a wire directly to the number 6 injector, which was not even the one that was in the code)

They told me too bad, when I showed the harness to them.
