Pop up headlight washers...
 

Okay guys....

I have a 2007 year GV 2.8L XS that has pop up head light washer that don't seem to work! Has anyone had this problem and a fix for them please?

Simply do they pop up, do they squirt. Or are they just blocked. To think of it my back window doesn't squirt. Add to repair list.

Mrs just popped out to the shops for some nappies for our twin baby boys! Thats all i seem to spend my money on lately! That and carpet cleaner! Lol ;)

My back window washer stopped working and after removing all the side trim near the tailgate I discovered that the rubber tubing is joined with a straight plastic connector underneath the carpet to the right hand side near the tailgate opening. One side of the connector had disconnected itself so every time I tried the rear washer the water was just squirting under the carpet. I suspect the cause to be during the winter when the water near the jet had frozen, the pressure from the pump had forced the tubing off the connector. A very simple and very satisfying fix. :)

Ahhh AlanC, I think I know where you are under the carpet, will check that before washer jet.

There should be no need to remove the side trim. I only removed mine so I could trace the routing of the rubber tubing.

@goggs: I should have mentioned that my GV has Stow 'n' Go. Yours may be different.

I'm sure I seen this black rubber tube alongside the wiring loom going up the middle of the floor to back door under carpet.

...you probably did, it's routed from under the bonnet to the rear window washer jet one way or another. Presumably the Stow 'n' Go seating requires different routing for cables etc. The connector in my black rubber tube was under the carpet in the right-rear corner of the well that the rear seat folds into. It looked like a factory fitted connector rather than a bodge job.
