preset setup
Hi all I hope one of you can help me, a friend has recently purchased a 2000 grand voyager and didnt get a handbook with it,the question I have is how to setup the unique seat/mirror position to the individual key fobs. The situation now is everytime he and his wife unlock the door with the remote the seat and mirrors adjust to differant positions, both not to their reqirments. Any advice given to either set up this up or disable it will be very appreciated.
And a good christmas to all here. Joe |
RE: preset setup
Suggest they exchange key fobs. One fob is usually linked to memory positon 1 and the other to position 2. The 2004 Town and Country is similar to the 2002. The owners manual can be downloaded for free from Chrysler here:
http://www.chrysler.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html From the owners manual: DRIVER MEMORY SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED Once programmed, the memory buttons 1 and 2 on the driver’s door panel can be used to recall the driver’s seat, driver’s outside mirror, adjustable brake and accelerator pedals, and radio station preset settings. Your Remote Keyless Entry transmitters can also be programmed to recall the same positions when the Unlock button is pressed.Your vehicle may have been delivered with two Remote Keyless Entry transmitters. One or both transmitters can be linked to either memory position. The memory system can accommodate up to four transmitters, each one linked to either of the two memory positions. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the ON position. 2. Press the driver door memory button number 1 if you are setting the memory for driver 1, or button number 2 if you are setting the memory for driver 2. The system will recall any stored settings.
