Question about New shocks and ride height
I recently had the shocks and struts replaced on my 2000 T&C Limited and the back end looks too low. What is the OEM ride height from the ground to the top of the rear fender?

Are they load leveller shocks on rear.
|
The new ones are not. Unsure if the old ones were...

As long as you replace struts alone there should be no ride height difference. But if you changed front springs as well you have tired back ones so need the obvious.
If it gets difficult refit old rear shocks and see if it goes back to how it was. I think Levellers are memory orientated so get back on us to see what happens. This may be of interest to these shocks. |
the old shocks were discarded, but I remember them being larger in diameter than the new shocks that are currently installed. I thought it might just be a matterof going with a non OEM brand shock. The bump stop sits only about 2 inches from the axle...I was hoping to get an estimate of the ride height to compare to my van.

Look at my profile Avartar! Did the old shocks look like it? If so then you had the very expensive Nivomat load levelling type. They cost around 300 quid each.
|
And you discarded them. They would have been worth sommit on Flee-Bay. Sounds like you've got tired rear springs.
