re autobox judder on kickdown

Hi Guys
new to the forum but have owned 2 voyagers before.

i have purchased a 2005 plate Grand voyager 3.3 auto with lpg 117k on clock

now taking it easy drives fine, on kickdown though it will change down, then accelerate all fine, but at the higher revs it then judders (almost like fuel starvation), then release accelerator a little and it changes down. then drives normally.

anyone had this or ideas? has been serviced, does it on gas and petrol.

how does the kickdown and box know when to change gear?.

thank you for any help.

pretty clean car and tailgate and doors actually work fully!.

This could be a sign (judder or shudder) associated with an autobox that the ATF fluid needs changing. Nowadays all torque converters have a big wet clutch around them to improve fuel consumption and promote smoother changing. Also to keep the engine turning during deceleration fuel shut-off, another fuel saver.
The proper ATF contains an anti-shudder additive, but it loses its effect with time and use.You can buy separate anti-shudder additives which saves an expensive autobox overhaul. I think it's called "Doctor Tranny's anti shudder", But you'll need two or three tubes at 2oz. each. American manufactured here.
