Rear brake support plates.

I'm in the UK and have an 04 Grand Voyager.

The parking brake wasn't working so I took the rear discs off to have a look.
It looks like somebody has driven it with the brake on. The shoes are completely down to the metal.
Upon further investigation the springs had rusted and the rear support plates have rusted through aswell.

I rang my a few local suppliers who i would get parts from and they all said the back plates would be dealer only.
£99 each from Chrysler!!!

Are these plates used on any other car or make (is FIAT part of the group?)

Or anybody in the UK know of a chrysler breakers who might help.
I've called a few specialist breakers and they're unwilling to sell the plates.
I have to take the complete rear hubs, but most rear hubs have been taken off with the intention of selling them for the wheel bearings so they haven't been too carefull with the plates.

Thats expensive!

Fiat is part of the group, but only since 2009 so there is no parts in common on a 2004 Chrysler.

It's possible the part was used on other Chrysler/Jeep cars. Might be worth looking at the Neon or Jeep cherokee. You could also try sourcing them from the US, but with shipping that may not save you much.

Also make sure your browser is up to date....especially if you use internet explorer. Download google chrome....it's free and is handy to have. I use it as a backup browser.

HiYa Goggs, its got excellent pictorials, and reference, but does not do any search later than 2003 .. .. and no diesels. I'm looking for a REAR DRUM BRAKE SPRING AND ADJUSTER SET CHRYSLER VOYAGER ( RG ) 2001-2007.

I only want the actuating strut but can't even buy the full kit in the UK let alone the 'small parts' set with actuating strut.

Drum Brake springs.

Hi, QinteQ I take it your meaning the rear disc/drum parking brake shoes.
I got a set of Springs, long ones between shoes and Small compression ones with pins that hold shoes to backplate off Fee-Bay from Latvia but I see their no longer on there. I'm still a moment trying to solve rear dragging brakes after disc/drum, pads and shoes refit. Pistons lubed but still same so it looks like its going to be new Calipers at £75 + VAT Each...Could do new pistons and seals kit but want it back on road quick...
Goggs..
