replaceing compressor and cleaning

ok so my compressor went out and they want to charge me over thosand dollars to replace it saying new compressor, dryer and orphis, and they are going to flush/clean the system out. i know i can do this myself after having the systems freon drained, but how can i clean the evaporator core only thing i am unsure of any info would be great i have a haynes manuel and it says nothing. i know i have to evacuate the system before refill too but any info on cleaning the evap core and what solutions to use would be great thanks for ur time

unless the compressor came apart on the inside no need to do what U are asking. Put a new compressor on and add 2oz of oil plus what ever comes out of the old one.

ok will do the shop that dianosised it say that they normally spill metal and everything needed flushed so glad to see its not necessary, chrysler tech do u think i should replace, or flush the condesor or is that unnecessary to thanks for your time it is apprciated

if the oil smells burnt or looks brown when u open it up then flush everything if not install new part and away u go. Whats the point of flushing out a condenser if there was anything in there it would end back up in the condenser when u start the system back up.
