reprogramming RKE receiver
 

Hi all. I have a Grand Voyager 3.3LE 97 plate and along with having a RKE that I use from day to day, I bought exactly the same type and part number off ebay, but can't get it to work. I have put new batteries in but still no luck. I'm thinking that the receiver may be max'd out on number off keys it has programmed to it.

But how do you clear the memory while keeping the original that I'm still using?
I've had the car for about a year and half and use the old type RKE with the 2 buttons, part number 04686255.

Having read other posts, someone has put one on saying something about holding down the unlock button for between 5 and 10 seconds and pressing the panic button and listening out for a chime. I don't get any chime when pressing the 2 buttons I have on mine.The only chimes I get are for low fuel and door ajar. Have tried to program the chirp for when the doors are locked but can't get that to work either.

Anyone got any clues?
