Self locking Voyager

My Voyager has somehow started locking itself once you go over 25mph, does anyone know how to turn this function off. Would be alright if it unlocked the car once ignition off as its a pain getting out of car, unlocking it on the key fob (double press) to get the kids out of back, help please

Need more details.. what model and year. Do you have an owners manual?

I think it's a safety feature...

Never did it before just started doing it for some reason, know Fords have a feature to disable the double press to unlock, wasn't sure if this was a similair function. Not much of a safety feature if kids are stuck in car! Its a 2.5 CRD LX 2004

Here are the instructions from the 2004 owners manual:

The Automatic Door Locks can be enabled or disabled by performing the following procedure:

1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition switch.

2. Cycle the ignition switch ON/OFF four times ending in the OFF position. (do not start the engine)

3. Within 10 seconds of the final cycle, press the interior driver’s door lock switch to the LOCK position.

4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming. You can turn the feature back on by repeating the above mentioned procedure.
Here's how they operate:

Automatic Door Locks If Equipped
The doors will lock automatically on vehicles with power door locks if:

1. The transmission is in gear,

2. all doors are closed,

3. the vehicle speed is above 18 mph (29 km/h) and

4. the doors were not previously locked using the power door lock switch or remote keyless entry transmitter.
