Default serpentine belt problem repaired

Hello,

Just wanting to share some information with everyone.. I have a 2000 Grand Voyager SE. The serpentine belt has been jumping off everytime I run through a puddle or drive in the rain. Well I read a alternative solution to this problem from a different forum. First off my tensioner pulley is fine and all the pulleys line up. Well what I did was I ordered 2 GM part #'s 14102645 tensioner / idle pulley assembly from a 87-93 S10 removed the pulleys from 2 tensioners I purchased off of ebay. I had to use small thin washers to get the spacing just right. But that was no problem.. After the installation, I ran a garden hose on the pulleys while the engine was running from the top and bottom. And test drove the van through every puddle for 3 miles.. The pulleys slipped for a second on each puddle but the belt did not slip off as usual.. I am running a gates belt also... Hope this helps someone..

Thanks Don
