Rear heater pipes rusted-97 T&C
Can someone describe how the rear heater core is connected into the hot water plumbing. I would like to replacee the rotting metal pipes going from the engine compartment down to the rear heater pipes. I can't however see where they connect to up top. I took the wiper assembly off and still cannot see. I realize the pipes are metal($150. part) because they are near the exhaust and manifolds but I plan to run rubber hoses down in an area where they will not be close to the exhaust. I need to know where the two lines from the rear heater core connect up front? Thanks for any help. BTW, this should have been a recall as most T&C's around that age have the rotted pipes.

Depends if your talking the down pipe which kinda looks like an octopus of rubber lines and meat pipes that connect to the final 2 meatl ones going to the back. DCX did have a recall for the tubes that ran to the back but i think your issue is the front tube rusting out. If you got a dealer they can show you a pic that shows where they are. I have sen and sold a few of the down pipe octopus lookin pipes it is very hard to get those in and out. They start and stop at rubber lines but on the top part breaks from 2 lines to like 6 i think. They come from the core and water pump i think and a few more.
