stahlling out when taking off????

my 03 T&C has a 3.8L and runs great. however when taking off from a stop light it dies or tries to die. it is giving a code for o2 sensor also. would an o2 really cause this??? Thanks for any advise on what to check.

Yes especially the upstream sensor. The O2 sensor is the primary data source for the PCM to use in air/fuel ratio calculations. Many tech articles say to change O2 sensors every 100K miles. They do wear out. Which code did you get?
