Stereo, windows, wipers, & AC/heat sporadic failure

So for the last month or so, every so often when starting my 2001 T&C, the radio, AC/Heater, power windows, and front and read wipers fail to work. The lights on my AC/Heater controls are lit and I can eject tapes and CD's from my stereo, but none of these things function. Then, anywhere from 3 minutes to 10 minutes later while driving, everything kicks on and starts working again. I talked with my guys at my local repair shop and they said it sounded like it could be the BCM (body control module). So after doing some research, I decided to bring it into the dealer because they would have to reprogram it. So i brought it in today and they checked things out for about an hour and couldn't find anything wrong with my BCM, and instead suggested that it could be my FCM (front control module), which would end up being about $450 for them to replace. But they couldn't find anything wrong with it because of the sporadic nature of the system failures. Does anyone have any clue about this or know how to really track down this problem? I'm not looking forward to a spring in Minnesota without windshield wipers. Not a safe thing.

Have you tries removing the neg. batt cable to reset all the modules? Though if you plan to have the dealer fix it, you might want to leave it alone.
