T&C 2010 Side doors won't open/close

My 2010 Town & Country's back side doors has just decided to stop working when you press the button on either back post. I have no problem opening/closing either door remotely or with the button over the dash. I tried changing the switch on the doors that suppose to shild proof the door and no change. Any ideas? I can not believe it is the switch as both stopped at the same time.

Hi Waggy,

There was a Technical Service Bulletin released to address the issue with the power sliding doors not responding to the buttons. This TSB involves removing the sliding door trim panel and modifying the foam around the handle on the right and/or left side. I’ve included more information on the TSB below for your reference. Please let me know if you would like assistance in scheduling an appointment with your local dealership. I would be happy to help!

TSB NUMBER: 23-005-10
GROUP: Body
DATE: March 02, 2010

SUBJECT: Power Sliding Door Will Not Power Open

OVERVIEW: This involves removing the sliding door trim panel and modifying the foam isolator around the handle link on the right and/or left side.

MODELS: 2009 - 2010 (RT) Town & Country/Grand Caravan

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built before February 12, 2010 (MDH0212XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The customer may experience that the power sliding door on the right and/or left side not
opening when using the interior or exterior handles or interior B-pillar button from full closed position but works with remote keyless entry and the front row overhead console buttons.

NOTE: The sliding door will power close and properly function in all manual operations.

DIAGNOSIS: This procedure only address vehicles that do not power open using the interior and exterior handles or interior B-pillar button from full closed position. This does not address any closing issues.

Check the "Power Sliding Door Master Switch" on the overhead console.

From the 2010 manual:

To provide a safer environment for small children riding
in the rear seats, the second row power sliding door
switches may be overridden by pressing the OFF side of the Master Lock
Out Switch located in the front overhead console to the
ON position.
The newer model manuals state it more clearly:

When the power sliding door master lock switch is in the
OFF position, the power sliding side door may not be
opened or closed by pressing the switch located on the
b-pillar trim panel, just in front of the sliding door...
