how much work to tune up an 01 T&C with a 3.8, thinking plugs and wires.

RE: tune up

Are you trying to fix certain problems, or just routine maintenance? Personally, I'm skeptical that the plugs & wires route will ever solve any problems, unless you have actually diagnosed them as problematic (Okay, once in a blue moon, it will fix aproblem because you lucked out and the problem was plugs or wires, even though you didn't diagnose it) . If it just doesn't quite "run right", I would be looking ata proper diagnosis before a "tune up", which just eeks of "Ican't or don't want to diagnose the real problem, so I'm going to piss my money away at a 'tune up' and hope it magically solves the problem".

If just doing preventative maintenance, then plugs & wires, probably coupled with valve cover gaskets, and check the heater line that heads toward the rear (if you have rear heat), since if you remove the intake plenum (some have removed plugs from below) to get to the rear plugs, this falls into the "might as well fix any problems in this area while I've got it apart". Spend some time cleaning out the intake plenum and throttle body as well, as they can cause poor idle quality when gummed up a bit. Just my 2 cents.

na the 01 and up are much easier then what u posted the old NS are the pain in the butt for replacing the back plugs. U can reach around the intake and get the back plugs. 30 min job tops

thanks for the thoughts, yes it idles rough at the stop lights, however I still get 25 mpg on the highway.at 111,000 miles she is a little slower off the line but not bad. pretty easy to clean a throttle body? I am pretty handy under the hood.
