tying to remove trans for overhaul 98 3.3 uk

anyone got any advice on driveshaft removal for me !!! as i am struggling to snap rings at inner ends and this is holdin me back now,and really need it out soon.

I have never done your specific box but have done numerous others including the manual one on my 2.5TD. Typically one takes up the slack on the inner cv ( pul on it until the snap ring halts further travel) then with a pry bar or even large screwdriver between the gear housing and inner CV housing give it a sharp whack. This normally compresses the inner ring and allows the CV to pop out.

was a little bit unsure on how much strain the cv's would take as i have never done one before but have just been told elswhere the same proceedure so thanks again much appreciated advice, the 2-4 reverse clutch has gone and there is evidence of ring gear breakage on sump magnet so has to be removed !!QUICK!!. thanks again
