uk voyager 2.8crd diesel
hello to everone im new here im in the uk
i have a chrysler voyager 2006 2.8crd it has got black engine oil in the water expation filler bottle.. just like in the engine. have been told it may be oil water cooler.. by oilfilter housing ..an ideas or help would be great, how to change etc, or where to get repair manual for this car thanks peter |
Is it definately not the head gasket? Here's the procedure for removing and refitting the oil cooler. REMOVAL (1) Drain cooling system (2) Raise vehicle on hoist. (3) Remove oil filter (4) Disconnect coolant hoses at cooler (5) Remove oil cooler retaining bolt at engine block (6) Remove oil cooler retaining stud and remove oil cooler from engine block INSTALLATION (1) Clean oil cooler and engine block sealing surfaces. (8) Check and adjust oil level as necessary.(2) Install oil cooler, retaining bolt, and stud. Torque retaining bolt to 47.1N·m (35 lbs.ft.) and stud to 37.2 N·m (28 lbs.ft.).. (3) Connect coolant hoses at cooler (4) Install oil filter (5) Lower vehicle. (6) Refill cooling system (7) Start engine and check for leaks. |
