Yes, approx $100. It took them a while as they did not perform this task often. There is a Sales code that came with your unit that you need to provide to the dealership for the proper programming.

David, did you use the Mopar installation instructions? I have the K6860331 installation manual. I was wondering where the wires labeled "C" and "L" plug into under the dash. I know one end plugs into the LCD screen, but it doesn't show where the other end plugs into under the dash. I don't have the DVD player. I assume one of these plug into the DVD player that mounts under the A/C controls on the dash. Am I correct? I plan to use my RER radio to play the DVD to the rear screens, will this work? Thanks

Could you post what the components you finally ended up with cost? I just bought a used 2010 Touring and would like to do the exact same upgrade. I assume you kept the stock speakers - does the system sound any better than before, or just the same? Thanks!

Yes I used the Morpar installation guide which consist of a set of pictures. At the back of the radio, it will be necessary to unplug a number of cables. Your new cable will have connectors that plug into the radio as well as the connectors that you just removed from the radio. The wiring is a buss structure. Dave

Default Terrible rattle coming from overhead dvd system!!

I have this terrible rattle that is coming from the overhead dvd system in our 2008 town and country minivan. It's been going on the a year now and has slowly gotten worse. To the point of driving me insane. I've taken it to the dealership and they can't seem to find the problem. Does anyone have this problem and how to I solve it. Thanks!!

I recently bought a 2010 Town & Country, I have all the buttons for the Uconnect, s radio etc....but of course cannot use it, I called a dealer he told me it would cost $525.00 to have it "installed".....from what i understand from other posts', the module is already there....and just need a microphone? I would really like to have this feature, but NOT for $525.00.... Any one ???

The price appears to be right. For your radio what has to be installed is a bluetooth module which will be located below the glove department. Wires from this module interconnect to the wiring harness that is behind the radio. The microphone will have a long wire which is connected to the bluetooth module and run up the right passenger pillar across the front of the window inside the top paneling and mounted to the top left driver pillar. The button on your radio will allow you to answer calls as well as initiate calls via a voice respond process. One can easily install this as the instructions are clear that come with the unit. I have the above unit which I bought and realize afterwards that it is not required in my case as I also purchased a completed DVD system which had this functionality built in. I used the same microphone that is part of the bluetooth package and installed it and it works great. Provides a very clear voice pick up to the caller at the other end. Thus, I have the bluetooth unit along with the microphone un-used that I am interested in selling as I cannot return this item. I bought this item at the same time I bought the upgraded DVD radio system thinking that I would need this. The product descriptions were a little confusing at the time of purchasing this units. Installation time is approx 2 hours. Dave dfaulkner@me.com

There is a heavy cable harness that goes between he radio and the overhead DVD screens. It is important to have this cable ties to the various roof members to prevent rattles. etc. I am suspecting that this may be problem. There is also a cable that goes from the overhead screens to the jack panel beside the sliding door. It is important that cable tie downs are uses to secure these cables to prevent future rattles. IN order to resolve this the overhead screen console may need to be removed and the cables inspected for any movement and secure with cable ties. Just a suggestion.

The rattling could be coming from the cable. that runs between the radio and the overhead DVD console. This is a heavy harness that needs to be tied down to the various roof steel members to prevent any movement. There is also a cable that runs from the overhead DVD console to the jack panel located beside the sliding door. In order to resolve this the overhead console needs to be removed to inspect the cables for any possible movement. Perhaps a person setting in the back with a stephoscope or something similar while your drive over a rough road may be able to pin point the the exact area of the rattle before anything is removed. Hey Dave, thanks for the information. I will try this. Is that something I can do or would you recommend taking into the dealership? There is also a lot of noise coming from the left sliding door as well. That makes sense now.
