Voyager 54 2.8CRD Advertised & the Faults.

Not advertising this car just saying its for sale cheap due to faults that a Garage would rub their hands.

Right here goes, rack your brains, some are obvious:
1..Auto Transmission problem no drive.
2..Abs pump is failing.
3..Airbag light on Dash..
4..Cruise control not working.
5..They say electrical problem causing 3 & 4.

Not not sure about no1 but lack of fluid could cause this.
As to 2+4 ABS wheel sensor is likely answer.
As to no 3 is this the front seats wiring plug or interior electrical mat. It seams you can buy resistor plug to bypass this.

3&4 could also be bad contact from the steering wheel.
Very rarely my airbag light comes on but when I "jiggle" my steering wheel the light disappears :)

Another answer...Vmaxxer..Like the.."Jiggle"

Trans failure...Filter clogged...can it get as bad as that.

English is not my native language so sometimes I say funny stuff :p

no drive is a mechanical problem with the box or perhaps no fluid, solenoids or electrical would cause it to stay in second.

The price would have to be very good given the pain in the bum a gearbox change would be - but then again I'm more at home with the electrical/control side of things.

Richard

Yes Richard price is £500 and 73,000 miles. Even at that worth it for engine alone.
And as Vmaxxer says they recon the electrical faults are in the steering column.
I take it there's an ABS and Airbag light up in dash.
Anyway like the North Berwick cheapy someone could possibly get a good car after repairs.

tfb 05-05-2015 01:59 AM

£500 is definitely worth it, you could break it for 4 times that amount.

Regards
Richard
