Voyager ABS UK model
 

Hi all,

Help!

I have a 2003 Voyager 2.5 CRD with both the red brake light and the yellow ABS light on all the time the ignition key is on.

I haven't any diagnostic kit to talk to this but I suspect the wiring.

I have found the ABS unit under the floor left hand side.
I have pinned out the wirinr but I don't have a wiring diagram to check against.

The four thick wires in the corners of the plug, 2 at one end that appear to be earths and the brown(tan) and red stripe at the other is permenant live. The last one is a green with red stripe that appears to have a steady 2.5 volts on it. I think that is wrong and should be an ignition live 12V. The smaller wires in the middle I have identified most as the wheels sensors as they are paired a little way into the harness. The others I have taken to be warning lamps etc.

I could really do with a wiring diagram. Can anyone help Info on these vehicle is rare here in England.

I don't know what the volatges should be but I am an electronics engineer and some electronics circuits use 3 state logic where 2.5v is a valid reference between 0 and 5V. Alternatively it could be due to a floating ground as volatge is nothing more than a potential difference. It does not necessarily indicate the presence of current flow.

Check your wheel sensors for sanity and also all related plug type connector especially at the HCU.

Here in the UK it seems knowledge is power and the importers want to keep all the power.

However I fixed it the over day. It was a wiring fault. No ignition feed. So with that repaired it was all good to go.
