Windshield washer trouble

Hi all,

I did a search but didn't really get the answer I was looking for so here goes.

We have an 02 T&C and the front washer has quit pumping. I couldn't hear it trying to pump at all so I ruled out a clog and bought a universal replacement pump. I unpluged the factory unit and spliced in the new one with the supplied connectors, and still no pumping. Doesn't seem like it's getting power but the fuse is fine, and the rear washer works fine as well. I don't want to spend 50 bucks on a factory unit if my original is not bad.

My question is, What are the chances it's the switch on the lever at the steering column? Has anyone else had this issue and solved it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jeff

RE: Windshield washer trouble

My washer pump quit working for a bit, and I couldn't at the time afford to replace it, so left it for a couple of weeks, but tried it daily. One day it just started working again, and haven't had a problem since. I think the cause was letting the fluid run out.

Mine is a '99 T&C

I'm having the same problem with the front windshield washer pump on our '03 T & C, although the rear pump isn't working either. Anyone have a fix other than the plastic reservoir, as our does not have a leak. It has been full for the past 2 months. Not frozen either, had the same issue when it was 50 degrees.
