A/C causes car to stall

Hey guys,

I've a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus 2.5 LX. I've been having several problems with the vehicle for about 7 months now. The main problem that I'm having occurs when I turn on the A/C (high or low) the engine begins to rumble and it has a really difficult time accelerating. If the car sits at a light or idles it eventually stalls and quits completely.

Although the A/C seems to make things worse, the car sometimes (more often than not) does the exact same thing without the A/C on. I haven't had time lately to take it to the mechanic shop but the mechanic DID clear the computer's codes so I could get a new queue of codes. The first one that I received was OBD code 12; a few days later OBD 14. The first code (12) mentions something about the battery being disconnected recently. The second code (14) says the map sensor's voltage is too high or too low.

Also, about 6 months ago, the distributor was replaced and it went out AGAIN recently. Perhaps whatever is killing the distributor is linked to my problem.

I'm hoping I can figure out this problem soon. I live in Arkansas where it's been very hot and humid so far this summer; so I really need my air. I'd also like to be able to drive semi long distances without worrying.

Thanks in advanced
