How do i disconnect horn!!?
I have a 2000 Cirrus that is having a horn issue. It started with the horn going off when you would turn the steering wheel. I have done lots of research online to know that it's the bushings that have deteriorated inside the steering wheel and airbag module. I DO NOT want to tear apart the steering wheel because I am afraid of the airbag going off. Plus, I DO NOT want to take this to a mechanic because I have spent way too much on this car to keep in running. So I am looking for a cheap alternative and thought there should be an easy way to disable the horn. I have pulled the relay fuse but that fuse also controls the dash lights, cigarette lighter, radio, and back parking brakes (stupid design btw:mad:). So I thought I could reach down under the hood (located way underneath the hood and bumper:mad:) and locate the actual horn and pull the plug/wire from the horn. I was able to do this but now when I place the fuse back in, the horn consistently stays on ! How can this be if I unplugged the horn  Are there two horns on this vehicle? What is the easiest way to disable the horn but still be able to keep the fuse in?
