No heat?

I am posting this for my mother, as she drives a 98 Cirrus, and she has no heat. What should I be checking on to ensure she has heat, because she is allergic to cold weather, and me being her son, I am the fix-it guy. On full heat, it blows cold air.

Here's my hypothesis: Heater core clogged up, not allowing the hot coolant to flow through the HC.

Any other ideas?

How do I flush the heater core? The hose isn't hot, the one going to the firewall. How do I undo the hose coming from the head? The car is here and in my posession.

The hose that is under the block, looks like a squeeze-disconnect fitting right past the high pressure fitting, closest to the block. I can take a pic and upload it if it'll help any. The only problem is that I don't have unlimited time to do this, because my mother is in from out of town, and she has paid me (water pump for my car) to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh and the thermostat and radiator have been replaced within the last 1k miles or so.
