problem code said timeing belt slipped

it says my timing belt slipped. it died on me a while back so i parked it for like a week finally got a mechanic to come check it out and it started right up. then drove it around a little for that day and parked it .the next day would'nt start at all and when i was trying to turn the engine over it made a weird like hissing screaming sound i did'nt know what it was so i tried a second time and it made that weird sound anyways i turned tthe ignition on three times and it gave me a code that said my timing belt had slipped. my question is because i have tried to turn it over since it slipped have i dameged the valves? does trying to turn it over damage the valves if the timing belt slipped. because if it does'nt i can get the timing belt replaced but if so then i gotta get another engine:(......... anybody got an engine for a breeze 2.0 1997 by the way? cheap?

there is no such code that will tell u if your timing belt has slipped the timing is mechanical what kinda sensor will tell u if its even on there or not?

i forget what number it blinked at me but one of the problems out of like ten of them was the timeing belt slipped and it has 170,000 miles on it and it never had the timing belt replaced. it was'nt getting any spark either so i changed the crankshaft position senser still no spark. but that high hissing sound when i turned it over i took that for a belt slipping sound. the mechanic was right there with me and he said "what was that sound" so i guess he never heard that before neither. i hav'nt tried to turn it over since been about two weeks. dont want to bend any valves. really dont know what to do kinda broke to have it towed to shop and see whats up with it.

i just walked out to the car to get the mil codes it blinks 11 which are four problems in the book 1is p0335-nocrankreferance signal at pcm 2-p1390 timing belt skipped one tooth or more 3-p1391 intermittent loss of cmp or ckp and 4 -p1398 misfire adapter numerator at limit. now when i hook up the obd meter it says no codes. so i dont really know what it could be what would make a high pitched hissing or slipping sound.
